RUN 5 - Core II

11m
Core II or the dynamic control exercises are a fun and different way of working the body. Full body balance and movement is challenged with some high level hops to finish. Core II can be started early on if you leave out the hops, however it is important to build up to the hops as running is essentially linked hops from foot to foot and many of the running drills are based on single leg work and hoping actions. I would recommend at least 4-6 weeks of hops to help muscles and more importantly tendons build up their resistance before the heavy running starts.
BEFORE STARTING: Make sure you are reasonably fit and do not have any current injuries. We recommend you consult your Doctor before you start any exercise programme.
EQUIPMENT: None
DURATION: 12 mins
SCHEDULE: 2-3 times per week
TIPS: Warm up before completing this workout e.g. by completing the core I workout
