13m
Thirteen minutes of pure core work specifically targeted at running. The exercises work you in all directions and in all positions to give you an all over, well balanced core workout. They build on the prehab exercises and progress you towards the higher level exercises in core II and the running drills that are at the heart of the RunFit program. Make sure you have done a few weeks of prehab before starting core I and when you progress onto core II, the hoping exercises (exercises 5 & 6) should only be introduced when you are ready after a few weeks.
BEFORE STARTING: Make sure you are reasonably fit and do not have any current injuries. We recommend you consult your Doctor before you start any exercise programme.
EQUIPMENT: Exercise mat, water bottle, wall
DURATION: 13 mins
SCHEDULE: 2-3 times per week
TIPS: Prevent the chair used in some exercises moving by placing it on a carpet or on your exercise mat
