SkiFit - Phase 1
SkiFit is your ultimate pre-ski training programme
•
1h 2m
This phase aims to develop correct movement patterns and begins to build appropriate strength and stamina.
Neil leads you through a one hour SkiFit class with 37 different exercises covering activation, core, circuit, hops & dips, dynamic control through to a final stretch out. You should focus on doing each of these exercises correctly rather than quickly, aiming for stability and control throughout especially when you start to feel tired.
Start phase one of the SkiFit programme at least 8 weeks before your holiday or the start of your ski season completing two or three sessions a week. Progress to phase two of SkiFit after two weeks of phase one and when you can complete a Split Lunge level 1 with correct form.
BEFORE STARTING: Make sure you are reasonably fit and do not have any current injuries. We recommend you consult your Doctor before you start any exercise programme.
DURATION: 1 hr 3 mins
SCHEDULE: 2-3 times per week for a minimum of 2 weeks
PROGRESSION EXERCISE: Split Lunge Level 1 with stability and control
